Sakin Savrulmalar
“In recent years, our poetry has been moving forward with brand new names. Now polyphonic, the subtleties of different sensibilities carry their own voices to our world of poetry. And with serious self-confidence… One of the young poets is Mürüvvet Adalı.
“Sakin Savrulmalar” is her first work. The poems here are poems of holding on to humanity and life; poems set at the peaks of love, friendship, love and authenticity. “While reading “Sakin Savrulmalar“, I drifted back to my childhood, my family, my work life, the screams of my friends, the nights of loneliness. These are the signs of a poet with a good fabric. Isn’t a poet also an endurance against life?”

I calmly drifted away from myself.
Slipping swiftly from the sleds,
It was my deep fall into the ocean…
When I paddled with all my might,
The waves took me before the oars,
Your black and white skin.
It was me calmly drifting away from my body,
I spoke with passion,
on a thousand-colored chest
Calmly tossed…
-How beautiful your skin was, deep as the ocean…
